Tiesha helps her clients focus on authentic communication. When you are honest and comfortable in who you are, you are likely to bring more of your ‘whole self’— your thoughts, feelings, and experiences — with you to the workplace and around your team.
With over 13 years of professional experience in the higher education and non-profit sectors, Tiesha brings a wealth of knowledge and insights toward self-awareness and cultural competence which are both critical components for intercultural communication. She teaches business writing, business presentations and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) courses, such as Inclusive Leadership at the college and graduate levels.
Tiesha is also the founder and principal consultant of LEAD Culture Consulting, which assists leaders in navigating DEI topics through self-discovery and cultural competence. As a DEI practitioner trained and certified in emotional intelligence and conflict resolution, Tiesha is passionate about communicating authentically as it shows others that you respect yourself as well as your colleagues – for exactly who they are.
Tiesha gives her clients and students this advice: “When you're honest and direct about who you are, your communication style will align. When people hear your authenticity, they pay attention to you because they believe you… and most importantly, they believe who you say you are. Imagine how much confidence that will give you!”
